- Organization Description:
Samsung Group is a vast global conglomerate comprising around 80 companies involved in diverse sectors, including electronics, construction, and finance. Samsung Saudi is the subsidiary serving the Saudi market with the latest products and technologies being developed globally.
Samsung's global CSR vision, "Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People," is translated in the Kingdom through the Samsung Innovation Campus, where Samsung is committed to providing Saudi youth with the technical "hard skills" and creative "soft skills" necessary to thrive in a digital economy, directly supporting the Human Capability Development Program of Saudi Vision 2030, and the global trajectory of enabling local communities everywhere.
Launched in Saudi Arabia in 2020, the Samsung Innovation Campus is an intensive emerging technology training program designed for youth and job seekers enabling their skills in Coding, Data, AI and IoT.
Program Goals
- Upskilling youth especially with limited access/opportunity: To provide deep-dive technical training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming.
- Career Readiness: To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and market demand, ensuring Saudi graduates are "job-ready."
- Soft Skill Integration: Beyond coding, SIC emphasizes problem-solving, communications, and teamwork to foster a well-rounded professional identity.
The Human-Centric Philosophy
Samsung Saudi believes that technology is a tool, but the human mind is the catalyst and therefore SIC lives in a paradigm of CSR from "passive giving" to "active empowerment." While many corporate programs offer short, two-day seminars, Samsung's commitment is intensive and immersive. Each cohort undergoes a 10-13 week journey that mirrors a high-level university curriculum. Samsung does not simply "fund" the program; they embed themselves in it.
- Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for participants to have access to the highest level of learning
- Personalized Learning Path: With a dedicated project team for every cohort, the student-to-mentor ratio is kept low, ensuring that a student from a remote village receives the same world-class guidance as one in the heart of Riyadh.
- Capstone Projects: The culmination is not a test, but a Graduation Project. Students move from "foundational" to "architectural," building tangible AI or IoT prototypes that solve real-world problems.
A 50-50 Vision
One of the most powerful social achievements of the Samsung Innovation Campus is its radical commitment to gender inclusion.
- The Achievement: As of 2026, SIC has maintained a strict 50% or above female participation rate.
- The Social Impact: In a sector traditionally dominated by men, Samsung is actively re-writing the narrative for Saudi women in STEM. By providing a safe, professional, and highly prestigious environment, Samsung is helping a new generation of Saudi women enter the workforce as data scientists, AI engineers, and tech entrepreneurs.
- Role Modeling: Female graduates of the program often return as mentors, creating a "virtuous cycle" of female leadership in the Saudi tech ecosystem.
Reaching the "Invisible" Talent
True social responsibility means ensuring that opportunity is not limited by geography. Samsung recognized that talent is distributed equally across the Kingdom, but opportunity is often concentrated in major cities. To bridge the urban-rural divide, Samsung developed a sophisticated virtual/platform solution.
- Remote Access: Students in Tabuk, Jazan, or Al-Ula can participate in the same immersive 13-week experience as those in the capital.
- Equity of Tools: By providing the necessary software platforms and virtual lab environments, Samsung ensures that a student's physical location never dictates their professional ceiling.
2026 and Beyond
As we move through 2026, the success of the program has led to a strategic expansion from 500 Graduates to 300 Annual Participants.
- The Legacy: Since its inception, SIC has empowered over 500 graduates, many of whom have already transitioned into high-value roles within the Saudi labor market.
- The Expansion: In 2026 alone, the program is scaling to accommodate 300 participants in a single year. This expansion is a direct response to the overwhelming demand and the high caliber of Saudi youth.
- Social ROI: By increasing capacity, Samsung is directly supporting the Saudi Vision 2030 Human Capability Development Program, ensuring that more families across the Kingdom benefit from the high-earning potential of a digital-first career.
