MIRAL IS THE LEADING CREATOR OF IMMERSIVE DESTINATIONS AND EXPERIENCES THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE GROWTH OF THE LEISURE & ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY AND ABU DHABI'S ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION.

Imagine looking up and seeing not one or two, but eight skydivers airborne, forming intricate geometric shapes while defying gravity just ten meters above you. Their movements are precise, almost architectural, unfolding in perfect synchrony against the force of the wind.

For a moment, you forget this is a competition. What you are watching feels closer to a live art performance, fluid, mesmerising and carefully choreographed. The athletes move like liquid, folding and unfolding into complex formations at breathtaking speed, every second counted. Then it hits you: this is happening inside the world's largest indoor skydiving wind tunnel, none other than CLYMB Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Around you, spectators lean forward in anticipation. Cheers break out, the room hums with energy and teams from across the globe prepare to step into the tunnel, each bringing their own style of precision, teamwork and aerial mastery.

This was the EEIPC 2025 International Skydiving Championship at CLYMB Abu Dhabi, not simply a sporting event, but a live experience designed for audiences as much as athletes. With over 250 participants, the atmosphere was electric, opening up a highly technical sport and making it immediate, engaging and accessible for spectators of all ages.

From the outset, the ambition was to move indoor skydiving beyond its traditional, athlete-focused format and present it in a way that invited the public in. Hosted at CLYMB Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Eurasian Skydiving Association and organised under the Emirates Aerosports Federation, the championship brought together more than 200 elite athletes from over 20 countries, firmly placing Abu Dhabi on the international skydiving map.

Innovation was central to how the event was developed. Over five days, three international competitions were staged within a single venue, including the launch of the International Wind Tunnel Race Event. Created specifically for this championship, the new discipline introduced a faster pace and a clearer competitive narrative, making it easier for spectators to follow while pushing athletes in new ways.

Behind the scenes, detailed planning ensured the event ran smoothly for competitors, judges and audiences alike. Schedules, athlete movement, judging protocols and audience viewing areas were carefully considered so that complex disciplines, including 8-way and 16-way formations and speed skydiving, could be experienced clearly and without interruption.

The championship was also designed to travel beyond the venue. Media engagement was built into the programme, with interviews and coverage secured across top-tier regional outlets including WAM, The National, Al Khaleej and Time Out Abu Dhabi. This coverage helped introduce the sport to new audiences and positioned the championship as both a sporting and cultural moment.

Social media played a key role in extending that reach. CLYMB and the EEIPC team activated their platforms before and during the event reaching a total of 900 followers increase within 5 days of the event.

Ultimately, the EEIPC 2025 International Skydiving Championship showed what happens when every decision, from the initial idea to the final flight, is designed support world-class athletes while inviting audiences into the experience. The result was an event that turned elite competition into something people could truly connect with, simply by looking up.
